Luanda – A message from the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, to his Swiss counterpart, Viola Patrícia Amherd, which touches on the solidarity and friendship that exists between both countries, was delivered Tuesday, in Bern, to the authorities of the Helvetic Republic.
The letter was handed by the Angolan Foreign Affairs minister, Téte António, to the federal advisor and Foreign minister of the Helvetic Confederation, Ignazio Cassis.
During the meeting, the two diplomats seize the occasion to review issues relating to the bilateral co-operation.
Switzerland, also the Swiss Confederation, is located in west-central Europe. It consists of 26 states called Cantons, with the capital being Bern. It is one of the most developed countries.
The co-operation with Switzerland has been vital for Angola’s programme of assisting the most vulnerable sections of the Angolan population. ART/jmc
