Luanda - The President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, will carry out a 48-hour working visit to Luanda starting this Tuesday, at the invitation of his Angolan counterpart, João Lourenço.
According to a press release, the visit of the South Sudanese statesman is part of the mutual interest of sharing information regarding the peace process in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) east zone in harmony with the Luanda and Nairobi agreements.
As President of the East African Community (EAC), Salva Kiir Mayardit will, with Angolan Authorities, address the Southern African country state's situation.
Angola and South Sudan have excellent friendly and cooperative relations. Both are part of the International Conference of the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR), an organization created in 1994 with the aim of resolving issues of peace and security in the area.
Upon his arrival, at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, Salva Kiir Mayardit was welcomed by the minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, and other state personalities.
