Luanda - Angolan Head of State João Lourenço returned Sunday to Luanda after a state visit to Italy.
In Luanda, João Lourenço was received by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira, and members of the Angolan Executive.
During his two-day visit to Italy, the Angolan president met with Italian President, Sergio Mattarela.
Political and diplomatic relations between Angola and Italy were also high in President João Lourenço’s visiting agenda.
The two States signed several cooperation agreements on oil, transport, finance, health and education sectors.
João Lourenço met with the local Parliament Speaker, Lorenzo Fontana, as well as with Senate leader, Ignacio La Russa.
The Angolan Statesman was decorated by the Italian President with the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
In turn, President João Lourenço awarded his counterpart Sergio Mattarella and the First Lady of the Italy, Laura Mattarella, the Agostinho Neto Order.
During the State visit to Italy, the Angolan Head of State also participated in the Italy-Angola Economic Forum, sponsored by the business association Confindustria Assafrica in collaboration with the Agency for the Promotion of Private Investments and Exports (AIPEX).
