Luanda – President João Lourenço appointed Tuesday, Jan 6, 11 new ambassadors, including to the United Kingdom and the European Union (EU), respectively, José Patrício and Edgar Gaspar Martins.
These are Ana Maria de Oliveira, for the position of ambassador of Angola to the United Nations Offices and other International Organizations in Geneva, Carlos Cruz de Lemos Sardinha (Cuba), Fernando Miguel (Vietnam), João Salvador dos Santos Neto (Türkiye) and Joaquim do Espírito Santo (Gabon).
He also appointed Mankento Sebastião Lopes (Egypt), Maria Cândida Pereira Teixeira (UNESCO), Mário de Azevedo Constantino (Kenya and United Nations Offices in Nairobi) and Nelson Manuel Cosme (Israel).
Previously, the Head of State dismissed Agostinho André de Carvalho Fernandes, from the position of ambassador to Vietnam, Ana Maria de Oliveira (UNESCO), Edgar Augusto Brandão Gaspar Martins (Republic of Korea), Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland).
He also relieved from their diplomatic duties João Salvador dos Santos Neto (China), José Gonçalves Martins Patrício (Turkey), Lizeth Nawanga Satumbo Pena (Gabon), Margarida Rosa da Silva Izata (United Nations Offices and other International Organizations in Geneva), Maria Cândida Teixeira (Cuba), Mário de Azevedo Constantino (Belgium), Nelson Manuel Cosme (Egypt), Syanga Kivuila Samuel Abílio (Kenya and at the United Nations Offices in Nairobi).
