Luanda – The President of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço, will travel to Bié province on Wednesday for a two-day visit, as part of the governance strategy, which aims to address challenges and constraints wherever they arise.
According to the Secretary of the President of the Republic for Institutional Communication and Press Affairs, Luís Fernando, shortly after disembarking in the city of Cuito (Bié), in the afternoon, the Head of State will lead a meeting with the provincial government for the overall assessment of the state of the territory.
Likewise, at this same meeting, ongoing projects will be analyzed, whether within the framework of the Integrated Intervention in Municipalities Program (PIIM), or initiatives of any other nature that impact the well-being of the population and contribute to the development of this province in the center of the country.
He also informed that the agenda foresees, for the second day, contact with large-scale production, visiting a large wheat farm and, symbolically, witnessing the beginning of the cereal harvest for the current season.
He also adds that several other moments related to the production that is developed with vigorous initiatives by citizens and companies in that part of the country will also be the focus of the attention of the President of the Republic, who is scheduled to return to the country's capital in the late afternoon of Thursday (11).
