Luanda – Angolan president João Lourenço, arrived Tuesday in Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic, where he is on a two-day official visit, at the invitation of his counterpart, Petra Pavel.
According to the working agenda, the Head of State, accompanied by the First Lady Ana Dias Lourenço, will take part in talks between the two countries' presidential delegations on Wednesday, as well as a visit to the Czech Senate and Chamber of MPs.
President João Lourenço is going to meet Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala and to be honored with an official dinner by President Petra Pavel.
João Lourenço leaves Prague on Thursday.
The Czech Republic is a Central European country with a population of over 10.7 million.
Angola and Czech Republic political relationship dates back to the Cold War period, when the country was linked to the Slovak Republic, then Czechoslovakia, which disintegrated on 1 January 1993, when they were part of the socialist bloc. VIC/DAN/AMP
