Luanda – The National Assembly Speaker, Carolina Cerqueira, left for Turkey on Saturday, at the invitation of her Turkish counterpart, as part of the two countries aim to strengthen parliamentary cooperation.
During this three-day official visit, Carolina Cerqueira will discuss topics of mutual interest with the Turkish authorities and strengthen cooperation ties between the two legislative institutions.
The trip to Ankara reaffirms the Angolan parliament's commitment to promote parliamentary diplomacy in international organizations' context.
Carolina Cerqueira is also to participate in several parliamentary cooperation meetings with members of the Turkish house of law.
