Luanda - Cuban President, Miguel Díaz-Canel, has congratulated President João Lourenço on Angola’s 48th anniversary of national independence.
In his message, Miguel Díaz-Canel sent his warmest congratulations and reaffirmed his determination to continue strengthening the historic relations of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the peoples and governments of the two nations.
Cuban Foreign minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla also congratulated his Angolan counterpart, Téte António, on the celebration of the date of national independence.
He said that, on this occasion, he congratulates Téte António and reietertes Cuba’s desire to continue strengthening the historic relations of friendship, solidarity and cooperation with Angola, which are priviled bilateral ties.
Cuba and Angola have cooperation relations in various fields.
The two countries currently have over 54 bilateral agreements, with three have more having been recently signed, namely the Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism, the Regulation of Medicines and the Promotion of Investments between the Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone and the Mariel Special Development Zone in Cuba.
