Paris - Angolan President João Lourenço reiterated Friday in Paris the invitation to French businessmen to welcome investment opportunities in Angola.
Speaking at the opening of the Angola-France Economic Forum, the President highlighted the important work carried out by the French Development Agency in financing projects in Angola, especially in areas such as infrastructure, renewable energy and rural development.
Joao Lourenço said that the experience of the Agence française de développement in the implementation of large-scale projects in various regions of the world is a valuable resource that contributes to strengthening local capacities and improving the living conditions of the population.
Lourenço stressed that this is a good time to consolidate opportunities through public partnerships and direct cooperation between companies from both countries.
The Angolan President added that interaction between entrepreneurs, managers and investors from both countries is fundamental to fostering innovation, increasing competitiveness and improving access to new markets, technologies and resources.
For the Angolan statesman, strengthening these ties can create a dynamic and integrated business environment, promote economic diversification and ensure mutual prosperity.
Lourenço also said that during this forum, it will be possible to explore and discuss in detail the measures being implemented to improve the business environment and consequently attract more foreign investment, as well as the recent advances that have allowed the country to accelerate economic growth.
The President said that important reforms are being discussed to simplify and streamline the procedures for private investment, to stimulate the financial markets for capital and to further improve the business environment. IZ/SC/DAN/AMP
