Luanda – President João Lourenço Tuesday in Luanda urged the organs of justice to handle crimes of vandalism, damage and theft of public property with speed and strictness.
Opening the 2021 Judicial Year, the Head of State said crimes of vandalism are rife in the country.
João Lourenço said as well those found involved in crimes of vandalism have been tried and sentenced in an exemplary way, in order to inhibit their commission.
He called for a better organisation and administration of justice, including the management of human resources and infrastructure.
In his address, the President appealed for computerised solutions for the courts, judiciary sponsorship for those disadvantaged, early inauguration of other courts, within the framework of the ongoing judiciary reforms.
According to João Lourenço, Angola is working hard to create a good business environment to attract private investment.
He considered that a more independent, credible, efficacious and efficient system of justice is crucial for a new business environment.
The President also called on the officials of the organs of justice to be serious in handling future challenges and do their job with zeal.
