Luanda – Luanda - The Head of State, João Lourenço, received the leader of the Tosyali Holding company, Fuat Tosyali, in Luanda Province on Monday, to discuss issues relating to the Cassinga mining project, located in the southern Huíla Province, as well as the steel factory located in the south-western Namibe Province, with the aim of finding ways to further evaluate these issues.
Speaking to the press, Fuat Tosyali said he had informed the Angolan statesman about the work underway on the ground, which led President Lourenço to express his commitment and show his full support for the implementation of the projects.
During his visit, the businessman also received instructions from the Angolan President to speed up the works.
The Cassinga mining project is a set of iron and gold mines operating since 1967 and are operated by the Turkish company Tosyali.
The data shows that until 2020 it was operated by the Angolan state company Ferrangol.
Meanwhile, also today, the Head of State received in audience the CEO of the Gemcorp Group, Atanas Bostandjiev.
