Luanda – Angolan head of State João Lourenço Tuesday appointed Faustino António Lourenço Cortez deputy governor for the southern Cunene province for Technical Services and Infrastructures, taking over from Édio Gentil Saumbwako José.
The president also appointed Lídia Celma Gonçalves Machado Amaro deputy governor for Political, Social and Economic Sector of the coastal Benguela province.
Prior to the appointment, João Lourenço fired Édio Gentil Saumbwako José from the position of deputy governor of Cunene province for Technical Services and Infrastructure, to which he had been appointed in February 2019.
In another decree, the President sacked Deolinda Tchocondoca Valiangula, at her request, from the position of deputy governor for the Political, Social and Economic Sector of the province of Benguela.
