Seoul – Angolan President João Lourenço, laid a wreath of flowers at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, in the National Cemetery of Seoul, Republic of Korea.
The Head of State, who is on the last day of his official visit to this Asian country, decided to pay tribute to the South Korean soldiers who died in the wars.
Established in 1956 and overseen by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, the cemetery is reserved for former combatants, including those who died in the struggle for Korean Independence, the Korean and the Vietnam War.
In Seoul, João Lourenço held a courtesy meeting with the National Assembly Speaker, Kim Jin-Pyo, as well as visited the premises of the South Korean Parliament.
He also opened the Angola-Korea Business Forum, where he received a group of Angolan students in South Korea.
Tuesday's program highlights include talks with the Korean President, Yoon Suk-Yeol, and the signing of agreements to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
President João Lourenço's visit ends on April 30.
