Luanda – Angolan head of State João Lourenço Friday congratulated the people, the government and the President of Cameroon on National Day, celebrated on May 20.
In his message, sent to the Cameroonian counterpart Paul Biya, the Angolan Head of State considered the date remarkable for the Cameroonian nation.
João Lourenço highlighted the historical relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
President João Lourenço said the ties binding the two countries for several decades can produce results that help strengthen the "pillars on which the key and strong achievements" attained by their respective peoples are based on.
"This is an opportunity for us to express our interest in continuing to strengthen the ties of friendship and solidarity.
He expressed interest in carrying on the ties of friendship and solidarity that unite the two peoples, countries and governments.
João Lourenço stressed the creation of new opportunities for collaboration that ensure the fulfillment of the aspirations and well-being of the citizens of the two States.
On behalf of the Angolan Government and himself, President Lourenço wishes the Cameroonian people good health, personal well-being and "much prosperity".
