Luanda - The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, sent a message of support to the national football team that is playing today, in Bouaké, the first game of the round of 16 of the CAN, with Namibia.
Angola and Namibia take part Saturday, from 6pm, at the Paz Stadium, in Bouaké, in the opening of the round of 16 of the 34th edition of the African Football Championship (CAN`2023), taking place in Côte d`Ivoire .
On his Facebook page, João Lourenço wrote: 'In this CAN, our brave Palancas are having a victorious and glorious journey'.
In today's decisive game, he adds, the millions of Angolans are with you, confident in the capabilities and fighting spirit demonstrated.
He states that the Angolans are optimistic and confident of victory and concludes with 'Força Palancas, Força Angola'. VIC/DOJ
