Luanda - Angolan head of State João Lourenço considered Tuesday (4th) a noteworthy day for Angola, after the country opened its doors to the regional integration through Lobito Corridor.
On his Facebook account, the Head of State underlined the fact the Lobito Corridor to comprise a set of infrastructure that will speed up commercial transactions with neighbouring countries and the world.
He considered Benguela Railway and Port of Lobito a “regional hub”, mainly for Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) that will generate more jobs for youth and income for the country.
The transfer of concession of rail services and logistics to support the Lobito Corridor to the Lobito Atlantic Railway consortium took place Tuesday in Lobito, in the province of Benguela.
President João Lourenço attended the event along with his counterparts from Zambia Hakainde Hichilerma and the DRC, Félix Tshisekedi. AL/ADR/TED/NIC
