Luanda - The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, encouraged the three new deputy governors, sworn in Monday in Luanda, to contribute to the diversification of the national economy and the socio-economic development of the country.
The encouragement was made when the Head of State was swearing in the new deputy governors of Luanda, for the Economic sector, Jorge Miguêns Augusto, of Malanje, for the Political, Social and Economic sector, Franco Cazembe Mufinda, and of Namibe for the Political, Social and Economic sector, Abel do Rosário Kapitango.
Addressing those present during the ceremony at the Presidential Palace, the Head of State emphasised the presence of former State Secretary for Public Health, Franco Cazembe Mufinda among those sworn in, as someone who stood out in the fight against Covid-19.
He emphasised that today the fight is no longer about Covid-19, but about diversifying the economy and developing the country's economic and social development.
He also wished the newly appointed governors all the best in helping them fulfil their responsibility.
