Luanda – Angolan President João Lourenço on Thursday spoke on the phone with his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vučić, with whom he discussed bilateral cooperation.
Serbian Head of State said to President João Lourenço that his country is strongly interested in cooperating with Angola in a wide range of areas.
The two head of States also discussed the burning issues of current international politics.
Angola and Serbia established political, diplomatic, technical, scientific and cultural cooperation relations in April 1977.
Nowadays, the two countries´relations are cordial and have been consolidated with the signing of more than 10 bilateral agreements and visits by several Angolan delegations to Belgrade between 2020 and 2023.
Both countries updated the first legal instrument signed in 1977, called the General Agreement on Economic and Technical-Scientific Co-operation, which was the base document for signing various sectoral legal instruments. ART/DAN/DOJ
