Luanda - The Head of State, João Lourenço, will travel to the centre-west province of Cuanza Sul on Monday, where, among other activities, will inaugurate the new provincial hospital.
According to the Press Services of the Presidency of the Republic, on Tuesday, the Angolan Head of State will preside over a meeting to be attended by members of the provincial government, as well as government officials who are part of his delegation, to learn about the local social and economic situation.
The new hospital, at level III, called Raúl Díaz Arguelles, has a capacity for 200 beds and plans to provide services in paediatrics, obstetrics-gynaecology, otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology, surgeries, orthopaedics, cardiology, intensive care, imaging and hemodialysis.
This is a unit that reinforces the humanization of health services, with a hospital school component, as it will promote medical specialization.
The contract for the health unit is assigned to a Swiss company specializing in health solutions Promed International Ag-Mitolli Group.
The hospital occupies an area of 4.5 hectares out of a total of six hectares, in an investment of about 63 million euros.
