Luanda - Angolan President João Lourenço on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, on the ongoing military conflict plaguing that European nation, a release from the presidential press office has said.
According to the release, President João Lourenço also had a telephone conversation with the head of state of Mauritania and president of the African Union (AU), Mohamed Ould Ghazouani.
While Mohamed Ould Ghazouani is the Chairman of the AU, João Lourenço is the First Vice-President of the Bureau of the Assembly of the African Union.
The President of the Republic of Angola took the opportunity to inform his Mauritanian counterpart of the current state of the Luanda process, which is seeking ways to restore peace in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo. VIC/TED/AMP
