Luanda - The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, said on Friday that 2025 will be better than the year about to end.
In brief words, after receiving end-of-year greetings from several individuals, the Head of State said that 'we will work to make 2025 better than the year that is about to end for all of us, for our country, Angola'.
He thanked the words of appreciation and encouragement given by the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, noting that he is delighted.
At the Presidential Palace, João Lourenço, flanked by the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço, received greetings from the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, followed by the President of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira.
This was followed by the presidents of the Supreme Court, Joel Leonardo, Constitutional Court, Laurinda Cardoso, Auditors Court, Sebastião Gunza, and the Attorney General of the Republic, Hélder Pitta Gróz.
The guest list includes members of the government, the Council of the Republic, heads of defense and security bodies, Members of the Parliament, leaders of political, religious, civil society parties, as well as traditional authorities.
Greetings at the Presidential Palace is a tradition in Angola, where the President, accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic, receives greetings from representatives of various sectors of society to celebrate the end of the year and renew vows for the following year.
