Luanda - Angolan head of State João Lourenço Monday in Luanda received the minister of Foreign Affairs for Regional Issues of Qatar Mohammed Bim Al-Khulaifi with whom he analysed the issues of common interest, as part of cooperation ties.
Mohammed Bim Al-Khulaifi, who is in Angola, as Emir of Qatar’s special representative, Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, did not speak to the press at the end of the audience held at the Presidential Palace.
Bilateral cooperation between Angola and the State of Qatar has evolved significantly in recent years, with both countries being important producers and exporters of oil and gas, areas in which the partnership currently is focused.
Qatar has the third largest natural gas reserves in the world, as well as considerable oil reserves, with a low public debt, strong public accounts and political and social stability.
The country also has a high per capita income, a good business environment, efficient infrastructure and logistical services, diversified industries, a strong financial market and an excellent human development index.
This Arabian peninsula country has established a solid reconciliation with the Persian Gulf nations. AFL/AL/ADR
