Luanda – Angolan political leaders Adalberto Costa Júnior, Abel Chivukuvuku and Filomeno Vieira on Wednesday in Luanda guaranteed the reformulation and expansion of the United Patriotic Front (FPU), given the objectives for which it was created.
The politicians, who were spoking at a press conference, whose focus was to analyze the political situation in the country, stressed that the FTU is a platform that should remain within its strategies and become more comprehensive in what its members are.
This, they stressed, for the search for solutions aimed at a better and sustainable country.
On the occasion, they were unanimous in reinforcing their engagement in the struggle and in carrying out actions within the framework of the Constitution of the Republic.
These actions, they argue, in order to achieve their aspirations and all situations that they consider to be important for Angolans.
During the conference, they said that the FPU enthusiastically welcomed the legalization of the PRA-JA party, a firm partner in the platform.
They also considered it to be a 'hard-earned' victory for its members, having congratulated the installation committee for its resilience in the fight for legalization.
On the occasion, politician Abel Chivukuvuku took the opportunity to reiterate his permanence within the FPU, stressing that the fact that the PRA-JA party, of which he is the coordinator of the installation committee, has been legalized does not change his political position at all.
He clarified that, if he becomes the president of the party after holding its first Congress, he will take positions within what the Law determines on the subject.
During the meeting, the politicians also spoke, among other subjects, about the ongoing census process, local authorities, fuel smuggling, the celebration of the 50th anniversary of National Independence and the post-electoral situation in Mozambique. SJ/SC/DOJ
