Dundo - The Angolan National Police in the north-eastern Lunda-Norte Province seized 3,625 liters of fuel, for smuggling to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
According to a note from the Provincial Command of the National Police, sent today to ANGOP, the fuel was seized during an operation in the municipalities of Chitato and Cambulo.
It's 2,125 liters of gasoline and 1,500 liters of diesel, delivered to the General Tax Administration, as faithful custodian, says the note, adding that an amount of 2,500,000Kz (USD 2.969,13) were also seized from smugglers.
It also informs that during the operation, 641 DRC citizens were detained, followed by 105 children, for illegal entry into the national territory.
After detention and administrative procedures, the aforementioned individuals were expatriated to their country, through the border posts of Cuango, Cambulo, Lóvua, Chitato and Caungula.
