Luanda - The President of the Spanish government, Pedro Sánchez Pérez Castejón, Thursday in Luanda stressed the efforts of the Angolan authorities in the fight against Covid-19.
Speaking at the opening of the official talks between delegations of the two countries, the visiting official said that this will definitely be recognised as the year of the pandemic and reaffirmed the position of his country in the fight against it, especially in the need for universal access to vaccines.
Pedro Sánchez, who has been in Angola since Wednesday, on a 48-hour working visit, stressed that one of the most effective ways of addressing the global situation is through the combined action of all governments.
Among the great current challenges, according to the Spanish Premier, are climate change, world economic and financial stability, peace, the fight against inequality, among others, which are on the agenda of the Spanish authorities.
For this reason, he expressed the wish to see the Angolan President in an official visit to his country so that the strengthening of the relations between the two states may continue.
