Luanda - The President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, arrives in Luanda this Monday for an official visit lasting a few hours, at the invitation of his Angolan counterpart, João Lourenço.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Paul Kagame arrives in the morning and will be received at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport by minister Téte António.
The document does not provide details, but it is expected that the two statesmen will address the situation in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
João Lourenço is the mediator appointed by the African Union, and recently expressed great concern about the insecurity situation in Eastern DRC.
To this end, Head of State, João Lourenço, held, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on the sidelines of the African Union Summit, separate meetings with his counterparts from Randa, Paul Kagame, and from the DRC, Félix Tshisekedi.
The meetings between the statesmen followed a mini-summit, held the day before, in the Ethiopian capital, which brought together nine African Heads of State around the theme “peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo”. VIC/DOJ
