Menongue - The 1st secretary of the Angolan Women's Organisation (OMA) in Cuando Cubango, Cecília Bimba Incha, on Wednesday encouraged local women to continue fighting for their emancipation by investing in academic training.
The encouragement was reinforced during the provincial ceremony on 31 July, African Women's Day, held in the village of Liapeca, Missombo commune, Menongue municipality.
Cecília Incha reiterated that women must emancipate themselves more and more, through academic and technical-professional training, so that they have parity in the state and private sectors in terms of positions, as has happened in recent years, but that it must still be a continuous challenge.
In this challenge, the first secretary of the MPLA's women's organisation pledged to continue working with the women of Cuando Cubango, so that the goal can be achieved gradually.
The leader emphasised that by achieving this great challenge, women will be able to continue to make their valid contribution to the process of sustainable development in Cuando Cubango, in particular, and the country in general.
Cecília Incha, the more women train academically and professionally, the more they will be able to take up positions in the legislative, judicial and executive branches of government.
She therefore defended the need for women to be role models in the arduous process of their emancipation for future generations, as is currently evident in many provinces, particularly Cuando Cubango. ALK/FF/PLB/DAN/DOJ
