Luanda - The Secretary General of OMA, women wing of the ruling MPLA party, Joana Tomás, appealed Saturday in Luanda for a massive turnout of women in the general elections, set for next August 24, with a performance based on civism and discipline.
Joana Tomás made this appeal during the Women's Forum of the province of Luanda, which aimed to bring the organisation closer to the electorate.
The event also aimed at reflecting on the importance of women in the electoral process, as well as mobilising them for the victory of the MPLA and its leader.
"It is part of our strategy to talk to women from various social strata and convey the party's message," she said.
She added that "it shows what MPLA has done and what it intends to do after being elected".
