Luanda - The newly sworn in governors of the provinces of Bié, Cabinda, Lunda Norte, Cuanza Sul and Huambo, have put the improvement of social infrastructures as the top priority of their government’s agenda to better serve the population.
Speaking to the press after the swearing-in ceremony, the governor of Bié, Celeste Elavoco David Adolfo, said she will work to improve the living conditions of the region's population, as one of her responsibilities.
Celeste Adolfo said she will continue with the projects underway for the development of the province, with particular emphasis on the rehabilitation of roads, equipment for water and energy supply in all the municipalities.
The governor took the opportunity to express her solidarity with the families who lost their loved ones in the road accident that took place in Bié province, in which 15 people died and 30 were injured.
Suzana Fernanda Pemba Massiala de Abreu, governor of Cabinda, said her focus will be working with all citizens to continue the path of socio-economic development in the province.
Mara Quiosa, who left Cabinda province to lead Cuanza Sul, said that one of her priority will be to identify the main concerns of the population, underlining that the education and health sectors, as well as the construction of infrastructures, will be the top priority.
The Huambo governor, Pereira Alfredo stressed that the focus is on dialog with the population in order to plan new actions within the framework of the desired development for the region.
