Luanda – Angolan Vice-President, Esperança Costa, on Thursday assumed her functions and began working in her official office, after exchanging portfolios with the outgoing vice-president, Bornito de Sousa.
Esperança Costa exchanged views with Bornito de Sousa, who is leaving office following the general elections of August 24 last.
At the end of the ceremony, no statements were made to the press about what was discussed during the process of passing the portfolios between the two individuals.
According to the Angolan Constitution, the Vice-President is an auxiliary body of the President of the Republic in the exercise of executive functions.
