Luanda - The Central Committee of the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) has scheduled an extraordinary meeting for Tuesday, in Luanda, with the aim of renewing the composition of its Political Bureau (Politburo), the secretary for information and propaganda of the party, Esteves Hilário, said Monday, in Luanda.
He clarified that the Politburo is renewed by the Central Committee, which also elects its Secretariat, which is the executive body.
The meeting will take place right after the end of the party's 8th Extraordinary Congress, which began on Monday, in Luanda.
The Central Committee (CC) of the ruling party in Angola is made up of 693 members, of which 101 are from its Political Bureau.
