Luanda - The meeting of the MPLA President, João Lourenço, with the first secretaries of the Party Action Committees (CAP) recommended, on Monday, in Luanda, the strengthening of mechanisms for disseminating the Executive's main achievements.
The guidance is contained in the final communiqué of the meeting, in which 1,700 CAP first secretaries participated, representing the 60,000 committees spread across the country.
Participants recommended the Executive to continue working to reduce the prices of the main products in the basic basket through the extension of programs in the agricultural and livestock sector.
Likewise, they asked for keeping with the implementation of the PIIM works and the Public Investment Program and continuing the process of construction and rehabilitation of main roads and others, as well as the work to prevent and stop ravines.
They also advocated improving the functioning of public services, making them more accessible to the population and more humanized.
They requested the extension of the Kwenda program to more needy families and ensure its coordination with other programs in the fight against hunger and poverty.
Participants reaffirmed their availability and commitment so that vitality and strength of the MPLA can regenerate society.
The meeting welcomed the conclusions reached at the second ordinary meeting of the Council of the Republic, held on August 21, 2024, in which strategic lines are drawn up to reinforce food security, combat hunger and poverty and promote employment.
He welcomed the organic process of preparing and holding the ninth Ordinary Congress of the JMPLA, which will take place in November of the current year.
Objectives
Among the objectives of the event, the continuous strengthening of the party's structures stands out, aiming to make them away more modern, dynamic and active.
The intention is to improve the MPLA's insertion in society and lead the main political, economic and social transformations in the country.
The meeting highlighted the need for activists and their base structures to pay greater attention to the debate and approach to community issues, seeking pragmatic solutions for each community.
During the meeting, held under the motto "All for the bases, all for the communities", the MPLA leader listened to the participants about the main concerns they face on a day-to-day basis, within the framework of the work they carry out at the grassroots level. AFL/ART/CF/DOJ
