Luanda - The MPLA's Political Bureau (BP) recognized today, Sunday, the 4th of February as an indelible milestone in the resistance of the Angolan people against the Portuguese colonial regime.

The recognition is contained in a party note to which ANGOP had access, alluding to the 63rd anniversary of the Day of the Armed Struggle for National Liberation, which is celebrated today, Sunday.

The document adds that “the bravery of the heroes remains a beacon of the actions of several generations of the Nation's leaders, who, in the search for the best solutions to solve the people's problems, are inspired by the value of the ideals that guided the process of the Armed Struggle of National Liberation”.

The Political Bureau, the note continues, takes the opportunity to bow to the memory of all “the children of Angola who, for the Nation, dedicated the best years of their lives, with emphasis on those who fell in defense of their homeland and the rescue of the dignity cloistered during the period of colonization”.

Along this path, he called on the entire Angolan people to celebrate the anniversary with visible expressions of euphoria, which justify the social dimension and historical value of the date, as a symbol of the infinite and deserved tribute to the fearless nationalists, eager to free themselves from the yoke imposed on the people. Angolan.

'The MPLA recognizes the adverse socio-economic conditions in which the 63rd anniversary of the beginning of the Armed Struggle for National Liberation is celebrated, and reiterates its firm conviction that it is working, selflessly, to, increasingly and better, serve the people and make Angola grow, a goal that reflects the desired response to the fairest and noblest aspirations of citizens', the document reads.

To this end, the Political Bureau of the MPLA Central Committee unconditionally supports the policy measures implemented by the Executive, which aim to achieve harmony and Social Peace. LIN/SC/DOJ
