Saurimo – The first provincial secretary of the MPLA in Lunda-Sul, Daniel Neto, stated, Friday, in Saurimo, that the party will continue to support families with agricultural means, to promote production and guarantee family food security.
Speaking at the opening of the VI ordinary meeting of the MPLA Provincial Committee, he highlighted that the organization will continue its program of distributing improved cereal, vegetable and citrus seeds.
Daniel Neto also mentioned that the peasants will receive fertilizers, tractors and animals for reproduction.
The politician considered, however, the commitment of families to agricultural fields to be poor, therefore, he called on this group to invest in this sector, as well as animal husbandry and fishing.
On the occasion, Daniel Neto highlighted the implementation of Kwenda, as a program that has made it easier for vulnerable families to support themselves.
During the meeting, members analyzed the socioeconomic situation of the province, problems in the agricultural sector and the implementation of the Local Development Program and the fight against hunger and poverty in families. JW/ART/DOJ
