Icolo e Bengo - The MPLA's 1st municipal secretary in Icolo e Bengo, Adão de Almeida, discouraged today, Monday, in the town of Catete, the practice of vandalism of public property, under penalty of those involved being accused of a crime and causing damage to the State.
In a statement to ANGOP, regarding the appreciation of assets, the politician said that the State has spent a lot of money due to the nonsense actions of some citizens, which is why the approval, by the National Assembly, of the Law against Vandalization of Public Assets.
"We will continue to raise awareness among our activists from the grassroots to the top, to be faithful mobilizers, spreading the message of preserving and maintaining public goods and services", he said.
Adão de Almeida made it known that at the level of the municipality of Icolo and Bengo there is also a record of acts of vandalism of public property, with emphasis on high voltage transport lines (theft of electrical cables), and it is therefore imperative to moralize society about caring for what is public, without preferences for political, religious, or social stratum.
According to the first secretary of the MPLA in Icolo e Bengo, the State's concern with preserving public assets is legitimate and warns that as soon as the Law comes into force, offenders will be severely punished. CLAU/AJQ/CF/DOJ
