Windhoek – Angolan Foreign Affairs Minister Téte António on Saturday in Windhoek considered the death of Hage Geingob a loss of a great fighter for freedom, pan-Africanism and development.
The minister, who is part of the delegation led by Head of State, João Lourenço attending the state funeral of President Hage Geingob, highlighted Namibia's role as an active member of the SADC region.
Angolan MP Pedro Sebastião, a member of the SADC Parliamentary Forum, emphasized that Hage Geingob was a great "pillar" in the efforts to transform the body into the SADC Parliament.
In his view, between Angola and Namibia very solid bridges have been created in various areas, as well as deep bonds of friendship, so the feeling of sadness that surrounds the Namibian people is contagious for the Angolan people.
Sunday is reserved for Hage Geingob's funeral, at Heroes' Acre, between 10.00 and 12.00, with the gates opening to the public at 06.00.
