Luanda - The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, paid tribute Tuesday in Luanda to the memory of the President of Namibia, Hage Geinghob, who died Sunday of illness.
According to a press release, Téte António, at the Namibian Embassy in Luanda, where he signed the Book of Condolence, wrote that Hage Geinghob was one of Namibia's most valuable sons.
The Angolan diplomat said the late president had dedicated his entire life to his country's noblest causes, from the liberation struggle to the consolidation of independence and development.
Téte Antonio expressed his condolences to the Namibian people, the state and the bereaved family, wishing President Hage Geinghob's soul to rest in peace.
Hage Geinghob died in the early hours of Sunday morning at the age of 82 from an illness at the Lady Pohamba hospital in the Namibian capital, Windhoek. VIC/DAN/AMP
