Luanda - Angola minister of Foreign Affairs Téte António arrived in Abuja on Sunday to attend the inauguration ceremony of the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, set for Monday (29).
Téte António, who is representing the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, was welcomed by the Director for Americas and Caribbean of Nigerian Foreign Ministry, Jane Adams, and the Angolan ambassador, José Bamókina Zau.
At least 68 foreign delegations, including 30 Heads of State and Government are expected to attend the investiture ceremony of the new President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, 70, won the February presidential election with 37% of the vote.
Born into a Muslim family of the Yoruba ethnic group, Bola Ahmed Tinubu entered politics in 1992 with the Social Democratic Party, for which he became a senator from Lagos West.
Although he became most famous for his influence in Lagos (the commercial center of Nigeria), where he served as governor, the politician was born in Osun state, in southwestern Nigeria.
