Luanda - The minister of National Defence, Former Combatants and Homeland Veterans, João Ernesto dos Santos, is participating from 18th to 22nd of the current month in the 12th edition of “DefExpo”, the biggest Indian fair of technology and defence products that is taking place in India.
According to a statement of the Ministry of National Defence, Former Combatants and Homeland Veterans sent to ANGOP today, the event is being held in the city of Gandhinagar (Gujarat), under the motto “Path to Pride”.
It aims to transform India into a strong and self-sufficient nation, establishing partnerships for the Indian aerospace and defence equipment manufacturing sectors, as well as for global customers.
The document adds that Angola´s participation makes it possible to increase partnerships, with a view to technological and industrial development in the defence field, as well as to exchange experiences and expand relationships with governments, armed forces and their respective defence industries.
The exhibition also includes the 2nd edition of the India-Africa Defence Dialogue (IADD), with the presence of 53 African countries.
The Angolan delegation also includes the secretary of State for Military Industry, General Afonso Carlos Neto, senior officials from the Ministry of National Defence, Former Combatants and Homeland Veterans, as well as general officers from the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA).
