Cazenga – Angola’s minister of the Interior Eugénio César Laborinho reiterated Saturday in Cazenga (Luanda) the appeal to the youth for the continuous task of preserving peace, following the ideals and bravery of the heroes of the 4th of February in 1961, who with sacrifice conquered this precious asset.
According to the minister, this date, even after 62 years have passed, the effects continue to sprout fruits and examples in Africa, hence it is important for the nation, especially young people, to take advantage of examples that are summarized in the current development of the country.
Eugénio Laborinho was speaking during the provincial event, marked with the laying of a wreath at the Monument to the Heroes of the 4th of February, in the municipality of Cazenga, in homage to the fallen heroes of the national liberation struggle, which takes place today.
Angolan youth, he explained, are called upon to take responsibility and stand out for the brave example of the heroes of the 4th of February, because despite the difficulties they are going through, everything is being done so that this group of society has employment and dignity.
He said that the country is developing at an "accelerated, dynamic and sustainable pace", as a result of the exercise conducted by the Holder of Executive Power, not only in the fight against corruption, but also in the search for peace in the region.
The event was attended by minister of Commerce and Industry Victor Fernandes, the governor of Luanda Manuel Homem, senior officials from the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), National Police (PN), survivors of the 4th of February, among other personalities.
