Luanda - The minister of the Interior, Eugénio Laborinho, on Sunday in the Province of Luanda highlighted the bravery and heroism of the National Air Force (FAN) in the defence of the country's independence achievements, particularly in times of violation of national airspace.
In a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the FAN, celebrated today, January 21, to which ANGOP had access, Eugénio Laborinho said he was sure that this branch of the Angolan Armed Forces would continue to be at the forefront of training and modernising the military resources.
He highlighted the role played by the National Air Force in the defence of the conquests achieved by national independence, particularly at times of violation of the country's airspace and soil, "in which the bravery and heroism of its fighters made an invaluable contribution".
The National Air Force (FAN) is an air branch of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) created on 21 January 1976.
