Luanda - Minister of State for Economic Coordination Manuel Nunes Júnior Thursday predicted that the State 2023 General Budget (OGE) will meet the interests of the people and satisfy their deepest aspirations.
Nunes Júnior was addressing MPs, provincial governors and assistants of the holder of the Executive Branch, during a debate on 2023 Budget held in Parliament.
The 2023 Budget will be approved in global final terms next February.
Stressing the role of the Budget, the official said that Budget has very big implications because it touches the life of the whole society, families, companies and the State itself.
He recalled that the fact the message of the Head of State, delivered at the beginning of the discussion in generality of this key document, referred to the Executive’s availability to discuss the budget in a genuine, serious, rigorous and deep manner”.
The 2023 State Budget Draft Law, with expenditure and revenue estimated at AKz 20.1 billion, sets the social sector as priority, taking 23.9 percent.
The Budged is drafted with a reference price of USD 75 per barrel of oil and average oil production of 1.18 million barrels.
In terms of global expenditure, the social sector comes second after the debt service, with a weight of 23.9% and is the largest portion of the tax expenditure, accounting for 43.5% of total tax expenditure.
