Luanda – Ministry of National Defence and Veterans of the Homeland stressed Tuesday in Luanda the sector’s availability to strengthen and consolidate cooperation with Cuban counterpart and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of that archipelago.
The desire is expressed in a message signed by the incumbent General João Ernesto dos Santos "Liberdade", addressed to the Cuban minister, General Leopoldo Cintra Frias, ahead of the celebration of the 69th anniversary of the Assault on Moncada Barracks in Cuba on 26 July.
The cooperation will continue with focus on the exchange of experiences, with stress to the training of military personnel at all levels capable of overcoming current and future challenges, the document states.
The celebration of the victory of the Cuban Revolution of 1959, led by Fidel Castro, is always an opportunity to praise the remarkable and important triumph that changed events in favour of the Cuban people for which the minister expresses a feeling of friendship and solidarity that characterise the ties between the two peoples.
