Luanda - A delegation from the Ministry of National Defence and Veterans of the Homeland is participating in the 16th edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) and the 7th Defence Exhibition Naval and Maritime Security (NAVDEX), which takes place in the United Arab Emirates on 20-24 February.
The Angolan delegation is led by Minister João Ernesto dos Santos in the events, which began simultaneously this Monday, in Abu Dhabi, the political and administrative capital of the United Arab Emirates.
Taking place under the high patronage of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, these activities gather more than 1,350 companies linked to the Defence and Security sector from 65 countries.
After the inauguration of the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2023) by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister João Ernesto dos Santos, accompanied by the Secretary of State for Military Industry, Afonso Carlos Neto, and the Angolan ambassador to that country, Albino Malungo, visited several pavilions where products and new technologies of the defence industry are being displayed.
IDEX-2023 is one of the most important defence exhibitions in the world and the largest in the Middle East region.
