Luanda - The minister of National Defence and Veterans of the Homeland, João Ernesto dos Santos ‘Liberdade’, Tuesday considered the inspector general's office to be of ‘extreme’ importance in overseeing administrative acts and the management of human, technical and financial resources.
During his speech at the swearing-in ceremony of the new inspector-general for National Defence, Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland (DNACVP), Dinis Segunda Lucuma, the government official called on him to pay attention, during his duties, to the coordination of actions, aiming for greater excellence in the work of this body.
Inspector General Dinis Segunda Lucuma, who served as Chief of Staff of the Army, was appointed and promoted to the rank of general in August by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.
Before the swearing-in ceremony, he was patented by Minister João Ernesto dos Santos.
The General Inspectorate for National Defence, Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland is a body whose mission is to systematically monitor and evaluate the implementation of policies in the sector, as well as assessing their management and results.
The institution works with the bodies and services integrated into the ministry, the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), the forces engaged in missions abroad, as well as with students and military scholarship holders, both inside and outside national territory. LDN/ART/DAN/DOJ
