Luanda – The minister of the Communities of Cabo Verde Jorge Maurício dos Santos Wednesday in Luanda spoke of the need to strengthen relations of cooperation and friendship between the peoples of his country and Angola.
Jorge Maurício dos Santos defended the two countries’ cooperation at the end of the meeting with the acting Speaker of the National Assembly, Américo Cuononoca.
The audience addressed aspects, such as the community of this archipelago in Angola, as well as the possibilities to boost the investment in both territories.
The meeting also discussed the issues related to the local government, said Jorge dos Santos, without going into too much detail.
But he added that the implementation of the process (local government) is being discussed at the level of the National Assembly (AN).
He expressed his country’s availability to contribute with cooperation, judging by its 32-year old experience in the matters related to the local authorities.
As for the relationship between the peoples, he said that his country has been creating a set of incentives to attract investment in various areas, to allow the Cabo Verdean citizens based oversea to participate in this process in their host countries and vice-versa.
He mentioned the investments in various areas, with stress to the tourism, transport, culture, agriculture, fisheries, sports and technology.
In view of good relationship between the peoples, and the existence of more and more Angolans investing in Cabo Verde, the minister defended increasing in relations.
