Luanda – The newly appointed minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Paula Regina Simões de Oliveira, expressed this Wednesday her intention to work with private sector agents in the Higher Education sub-system to achieve the goals of the National Development Plan (PND) 2023-2027.
Speaking to the press, after taking office, the minister said that she will carry out a diagnosis of the sector she chairs, counting on other agents in the Higher Education system.
“We are dealing with academics, researchers and therefore it is an added value to count on all the fringes of this system”, she highlighted.
This Wednesday, the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, swore in recently appointed members of the government.
These are the Minister of State for the Social Area, Maria do Rosário Bragança, and the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Paula Regina Simões de Oliveira,
The list also includes the provincial governors of Bié, Celeste Elavoco David Adolfo, from Cabinda, Suzana Fernanda Pemba Massiala de Abreu, from Lunda-Norte, Filomena Elizabete Chitula Miza Aires, from Cuanza Sul, Mara Regina da Silva Baptista Domingos Quiosa, and Huambo, Pereira Alfredo.
On the same occasion, the Secretary of State for Fisheries and Marine Resources, Álvaro da Cunha Cândido dos Santos, the vice-governor of Cuanza-Norte for the Political, Social and Economic Sector, Constantina Pereira Furtado Machado and the vice-governor of Cuanza-Norte for Technical Services and Infrastructures, Michel Raimundo Luzolo.
