Luanda – Angola Head of State João Lourenço on Wednesday granted an audience to the vice-president of the US television channel CNN, Konstantinos Oikonomou, with whom he discussed issues linked to the strengthening and improvement of the strategic partnership between Angola and CNN International.
In brief statements to the press at the end of the meeting, Konstantinos Oikonomou explained that the Angolan authorities and CNN signed an advertising agreement in May.
The meeting, according to the CNN representative, aimed at analyzing how CNN's management and the Angolan government can strengthen and improve collaboration, especially regarding expanding to new areas and training journalists and other Angolan media professionals.
Konstantinos Oikonomou said the CNN sees all African countries as having unique potential and that all the issues are on the table and can be addressed and reached a consensus.
