Lisbon - At 450,000 Angolan living abroad are expected to join the electoral registration process, ahead of the general elections scheduled for August 2022 in the country, the minister of Territory Administration Marcy Lopes has told the press.
Taking stock of his working visit to Portugal, Marcy Lopes said that the citizens will be required to present their identity card ID to participate in registration process.
He praised the meetings he held with the Angolan community in Portugal, saying that they served to clarify the process.
He said that he received suggestions on the creation of digital platforms, aiming at the exchange of information.
The six-month ex-officio electoral registration foresees to cover Angolan residents with the active electoral capacity.
