Luanda - Morocco's ambassador, Saadia El Alaoui, said Tuesday in Luanda that relations between her country and Angola, which date back to the period of the struggle for independence, are excellent.
Addressing at the 25th anniversary of the reign of Mohammed VI, the diplomat highlighted the third Joint Commission between the two countries, held last year in Rabat, which, in her opinion, consolidated relations with the signing of agreements and memoranda of understanding in various areas of cooperation.
The ambassador also mentioned the frequency of flights to Luanda by the Royal Air Maroc (RAM) airline as a milestone which, as well as supporting trade, promotes social, cultural and diplomatic interactions.
As for the 25th anniversary of the reign of Mohammed VI, the diplomat highlighted the importance of the event for her people and the main reforms that marked this period.
“It's difficult for me to summarize today the long road Morocco has travelled in the last 25 years. But one thing is certain: the reign of His Majesty King Mohammed VI is characterized by a new perspective on development, in favor of open and competitive Morocco,” the ambassador said.
According to Saadia El Alaoui, her country's new development model is based on four main axes, namely the structural transformation of the economy, strengthening of human capital, social inclusion and regional development.
On the same occasion, the ambassador quoted King Mohammed VI's speech advocating urgent food and medical aid for the Palestinian people in Gaza.BS/ART
